The New York City Department of Education has published information to help parents of children attending New York City public schools understand arts education in New York City Public Schools. Visit the following links to learn what students should know and be able to do in the arts, find out about after-school and summer programs, and take advantage of competitions and scholarships. You will also learn how your child can prepare a visual arts portfolio, audition for All-City High School Music Ensembles and discover cultural opportunities to experience with your children.
