Periodic Assessments

Periodic Assessments are no-stakes assessments that provide regular, timely feedback on students' strengths and weaknesses to help guide instruction and increase student achievement. They provide an early indicator of student performance on State Tests and measure student progress toward success in high school and beyond.

Program providers offer direct technical support for each assessment tool.

The DOE helps schools learn to use Periodic Assessments effectively through coaching by Senior Achievement Facilitators and Network Leaders, targeted workshops, and other professional development opportunities.
