It is that time again when we get an opportunity to showcase the talent of our studentsartwork in this display entitled, Are We There Yet?   This exhibit will take place at the school on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 12:30 – 2:30 P.M.

You are cordially invited for the Opening Reception, Are We There Yet? to see the unveiling of our students' artwork brought to us by our amazing artists sponsored by Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.  "Rush Philanthropic is dedicated to providing inner city youth across New York City with significant exposure to the arts, as well as to supporting emerging artists with exhibition opportunities.

Rush was founded in 1995 by three brothers: Danny Simmons, visual artist and community builder; media mogul Russell Simmons; and Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons of the legendary hip-hop group Run-DMC. Their goal was to fill the gap that the disenfranchised and people of color faced in both accessing the arts and exhibition opportunities"

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater grew from a now-fabled performance in March 1958 at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.
Led by Alvin Ailey and a group of young African-American modern dancers, that performance changed forever the perception of American dance.
The Ailey company has gone on to perform for an estimated 25 million people at theaters in 48 states and 71
countries on six continents -- as well as millions more through television broadcasts.
The Ailey Company is a part of the M.S. 226 family where they often perform for our
students and help them choreograph dance moves and routines.
