Dear Parents,

Effective Tuesday, September 2, 2008 all middle school students at McKinney will start a new and adjusted schedule.

Students in grades 6-8 will begin school at 8:00am on Mondays,Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays the school day will end at 3:10pm.

On Thursdays and Fridays, the school day  will start at 8:00am and will end at 2:20pm.

There will no longer be extended time  added to the end of the school day. Instead, time will be added to each period of the regular school day.
Students who do not arrive to Mckinney by 8:00am. will be marked late.
On Thursdays and Fridays only, students could have the opportunity to participate in the extended day or after school program.  Extended day will end no later than 4:10 pm. Courses could include arts integration, academic remediation or enrichment, student clubs, and Regents preparation for middle school students who are programmed for high school courses.  Parents who would like their child to participate in extended day classes must contact the school within the first week.
