Overview

Our mission is to establish a dynamic learning community that focuses on equity, values the unique experiences, skills, needs, capacities, and contributions of each individual student and promotes respect and responsibility. We have high expectations for all students' academic performance including a rigorous curriculum that stresses inquiry skills and includes long-term, project-based investigations leading to literacy in all subject areas. Through community problem-solving, our students are empowered with a zest for knowledge, a freedom to wonder and make real world connections, opportunities to conduct their own inquiries, and actively apply school-based learning to improve their community.

The Bronx School of Science Inquiry and Investigation has partnerships with The New York Times Educational Department and Columbia University.
All Students receive a daily planner that alis aligned to The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. We offer additional math and literacy instruction both before and after school. (Zero Period, Extended Day, Clubs)
Here at The Bronx School of Science Inquiry and Investigation we invite all students to join our after school clubs in conjunction with our academic programs.
We offer clubs from The New York Roadrunners, CHAMPS Basketball, The New York Stock Exchange, Student Council, Guitar, Drums, Chorus, Homework Helpers, School Newspaper, Dance, and Japanese.
We are proud of our wonderful neighborhood and borough, where we work diligently to provide learning opportunities for our students using their community as a launching pad of investigation and discovery. Some community highlights are:
Family Science Night, Coffee with Principals, and The Bronx River Project.
