  Dress Code Policy

The following grades are required to wear the following dress code

6th graders-
white-collared button-down shirts.

7th graders-
yellow-collared  button-down shirts

8th graders-
light blue-collared button-down shirts.

All students must wear their blue collared or  polo shirts with black or navy slacks DAILY.

Girls may choose to wear a black or navy skirt.  

School students are NOT allowed to wear any jeans,or pants with holes in them. No hats or hoods are allowed to be worn in the building.  

  • Summer Assignment


    As you and your family prepare to enjoy your summer vacation traveling, going to the beach, riding roller coasters, or just playing your favorite video games, it is important that you continue reading.  According to the International Reading Association, summer reading loss refers to the decline in children’s reading development that can occur during summer vacation times when children are away from the classroom and not participating in formal literacy programs.   Therefore, it is imperative that you continue to read during the summer months

    Incoming 6th graders can utilize this file for their activities with the books read throughout the summer.


    Please take the time to have your child visit your local Brooklyn Public Library and READ! Visit their website to inquire on summer reading packets, schedule and events at your local library.

You will need one marble composition notebook for each subject. (Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science)

*** Binders and spiral notebook are not acceptable. 

An additional marble notebook will be needed to copy all homework assignments. This notebook should be labeled "Homework Planner."   This is where your child will write down all homework assignments dailsy.  Parents, please check the homework planner daily to make sure your child is completing all assignments.  ALL HOMEWORK MUST BE COMPLETED

One per subject (ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science, Foreign Language, Related Arts, Health)

  •   Highlighter 
  •   Valid Public Library Card
  •     In addition, subject teachers may request additional supplies.

     Suggestion:  Use this as a reference to help your child remain organized.  In order to be successful, organization is a key skill every student must adopt
