Special ProgramsThis school's special academic programs include: aviation, culinary arts, medical technology, business and law, and communications. August Martin also offers advanced placement classes in English, Biology, American History, and calculus; as well as honors classes in Science, Foreign Language, Math, Social Studies and English Language Arts - all grades.
Extracurricular ActivitiesAthletics and After-School ActivitiesAthletics for the 2013-2014 school year include football, cheerleading squad, mens and women's soccer, mens and women's cross-country, mens and women's basketball, mens and women's baseball, mens and women's bowling, and mens and women's track and field.
After-school activities for the 2013-2014 school year include Mock Trial, Yearbook Committee, Public Color, peer helpers/tutoring, formal peer mediation and conflict resolution programs, Talent Show Committee, and mens and women's leadership opportunities.(See Dean Williams for a list of clubs and other activities.)Students interested in joining an athletic squad should see the school Athletic Director, Dean Williams in Room 116.
