Welcome to the Michael J. Petrides School Library

There is so much you can do from the

Michael J. Petrides School Library website!

Please visit the library’s website at  The Michael J. Petrides School Library

From the homepage you can access student resources like Homework Help, Biology in Motion or Citation Machine. You can also access Parent Resources like the Family Literacy Guide, the Department of Education Testing Calendar and even get links to past ELA and Math tests so you can practice with your child!

Forget Google and Wikipedia!!! Students can access credible and reliable journal, magazine and newspaper articles from the Ebsco and Infotrac databases located on the homepage.  Please see Mrs. Wilson for passwords.

    Student Empowerment

Need to read a book, but the library is closed? No problem! You can sign into Follett Shelf and download a book to your computer at home or simply read it online. There are over 300 books to choose from on all levels and on countless topics. Come see Mrs. Wilson to set up a username and password.

While on the library’s website, why not put a book or two on hold? Maybe you need to renew a book you already have. You can do that too!

    Library Hours

The library is open to Middle school students during their lunch period every Thursday and Friday and for High school students during their lunch period every Monday, Thursday and Friday. Students may use the library during open hours with a pass from their teacher. Open hours are posted on the library bulletin board in the hallway outside the library. The library is also open every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 2:20 – 3:10.
