Overview

QTC Mission Statement 

The Queens Transition Center supports all students in gaining access to, and being successful in their post-secondary lives. It is our mission to ensure that students graduate form this public educational experience with skills, intrinsic abilities and sufficiently developed work ethics.  
   
Our commitment to caring helps achieve our goal to provide access for all students ensuring them a quality education, through transition and technology. this allows students to respond to societal expectations which will enable them to succeed as functional, independent, contributing members of their communities. 

Special Curriculum Programs:

    Work-study: 102 students at 22 sites e.g. Build-Maint,. Hotel, Food Service, Day/Senior Care. Inclusion: 11 studs. at
Q.H.S Law Enf /.Pub.Safety.
Internship/Externship in Culinary Arts via NY Food and Hotel Management School. Teachers and writers Collaborative; Readers Theater Workshop; Project Arts.

Community Support:
102 students at 22 work study sites including L.I.J Hospital. Au Bon Pain, Walgreens, Queens/York Colleges, Castle Hill Senior Living Center, New York State Veteran's Hospital and more.

Collaborative agencies include PSCH, MCPC and VESID.

Rockaway Revue-Senior Dance Program performances for students.
