The PTA of P.S. 188Q is an organization of parents and teachers working together to make our school environment the very best it can be. We are a community of learners who rely on each other for information and support in accomplishing a variety of objectives within our school. There are over twenty different committees to become involved with. Whether you decide to participate in one of our standards-based fundraising activities or become a member of our leadership team, there is a role for every parent in our school. Participating in the PTA is a wonderful way to meet people and make new friends. You owe it to your child, yourself and your community to be an active participant in your child's education by contributing your time or talents to this terrific organization. By joining together and combining our talents, we strive to give all children the classes and special programs they deserve. The PTA holds a general meeting every month, usually in the 2nd or 3rd week of the month, where information is given and discussions are held regarding important matters. We are a small school and are fortunate to work with a caring and dedicated school staff and principal who support our efforts. MEMBERSHIP Early in the school year, every P.S.188 family will receive a PTA membership envelope. By filling out the information on the envelope you become a member. Contribution and donations to the PTA are optional but greatly appreciated. All donations benefit our children. You can join the PTA at anytime during the school year.
