Our Mission

Abraham Lincoln High School is dedicated to its students. Its unique diversity and respect for human dignity are the cornerstones of its success. We strive to enhance the academic growth and social development of every child, including Special Education and English Language learners. We plan to educate every student to his/her full potential, utilizing every available resource, and to foster an environment in which quality instruction and guidance services promote academic and social success.

Special Programs

The Institute for Professions in Science, a rigorous, challenging program in Science & Math; an Animal Science Program; the Gilder Lehrman Honors Institute for the study of Social Studies and related humanities; and a Photography Program rated number one in the U.S.

Extracurricular Activities

Non-academic activities include: Key Club, Math Team, and Mock Trial Student Organization; Boosters/Cheerleaders/ Twirlers; football, basketball, baseball, track and softball teams (26 teams); conflict resolution program; Student Organization, Debate Club, Fed Challenge, to name a few.

Our Community

We had 36 partnerships, including: Brooklyn College, College of Staten Island, Kingsborough Community College, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Polytechnic University; and these programs: Cooperative ED, New York Aquarium, Coney Island Hospital.
