Principal's Welcome Message
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Louis Marshall School, P.S.276, "Where Successful Futures Begin!" It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as your Principal, and I look forward to a year filled with exemplary teaching and learning and increased parental involvement. Our school is characterized by a most dedicated staff, all of whom work tirelessly to ensure that our students are fully engaged in the learning process. We strive to create opportunities for all of our students to be successful, while embracing each student’s learning style. Our goal is to lay a solid foundation for lifelong learning that will ensure our students’ futures are geared toward college and career readiness. In addition to academic preparedness, we are committed to providing our students with a well rounded education, such as immersion in the arts and social emotional literacy.
P.S 276 values the time and effort put forth by parents to support their child's education. We believe in working collaboratively with parents and guardians to ensure the success of our students. Please feel free to contact the school with any questions or concerns that may arise throughout the school year.
As we begin the 2011-2012 school year, I look forward to serving the P.S 276 community as Principal. I welcome the opportunity to work together as we help set the stage for our children to grow both academically and socially, as P.S. 276 is the school "Where Successful Futures Begin!"
It is the mission of the faculty and staff at Public School 276 to nurture all of our students academically and socially, as they acquire the knowledge that will prepare them to continue their education and proceed towards college and career readiness. We strive to help each child meet and exceed New York City's Performance Standards and Common Core State Standards for his or her grade. Our community will collaboratively and cohesively work together to establish an atmosphere in which each child's intelligence, creativity and self-esteem is encouraged to flourish. It is the responsibility of our school community to provide a safe, supportive, secure environment for every student, parent and staff member.
