We, the staff at P. 169, want to feel respected, safe, valued, accepted, supported, appreciated, and successful.  In order to feel this way consistently we will: treat others the way we want to be treated; communicate with each other openly and effectively; actively seek opportunities to help each other every day; help contribute to the success of all of our students; and have clear and consistent expectations.  We will manage our concerns by having regular forums and meetings to discuss ongoing issues.  We will resolve issues quickly and openly as they arise and will model and encourage effective problem-solving techniques.  We will promote positive feelings by demonstrating appreciation for our colleagues, recognizing successes and accomplishments, and strive to create a work environment based on trust.  We will achieve this by setting a positive tone through our actions and our words.
