Special Programs

P.233Q provides a nurturing, supportive environment where students are encouraged to learn at their own pace and in their own unique style. Our school provided instruction for students with autism, cognitive and multiple disabilities between the ages of 4.9-21. The class ratios are 12:1:1, 6:1:1, 12:1:4, and 8:1(inclusion classes). Our instructional programming includes: Inclusion programs for elementary, middle, and high school students; TEACCH, ABA, augmentative communication/assistive technology devices,adaptations of NYS Standards, Balanced Literacy,Everyday Math,community based instruction, a vocational preparation program, adaptive equipment, adaptive physical education, instructional mealtime, behavioral intervention, medical and special needs evaluation and assessment involving parents and families.
