Information Technology I
Students become familiar with multiple software applications and apply them across the curriculum, building on previous knowledge and skills. The students will work towards keyboarding proficiency in technique and posture while building speed. Students will learn the basics of the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Microsoft Word. By the end of this course, students should achieve proficiency with Microsoft Word and be typing at least 25 wpm.
Information Technology II
This course builds upon the basic skills learned in Information Technology. Students will develop their information literacy skills as they conduct research for web-based projects. Students will become proficient in web-authoring by creating personal websites as well as those integrating topics from the content areas. Keyboarding skills will continue to be emphasized and developed.
