It is our intention as Physical Educators to make sure that the students at Wadleigh Secondary School are provided with the opportunity to better themselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially through participation in Physical Education class.
The skills and activities that the students will participate in during Physical Education class should provide new and challenging opportunities for all students. Our goal is for students to become aware of physical activity as a way to better their health and wellness. Hopefully the skills that are learned in Physical Education class can be applied outside of school and help promote a healthy style of living long after graduation.
The Curriculum is designed to work in alignment with the Physical Best Format, in that each lesson is designed to promote aerobic fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, combined-component training. Further more, our intent is to provide the students with the ability to use self management and goal setting, being a good physical activity consumer, and plan for a physically active lifestyle in order to promote a lifetime of physical activity and good health.
