The following benchmarking assessments may be used in place of or in combination with ECLAS-2 to meet the Periodic Assessment program's literacy assessment objectives for students in grades K-2.
The DOE does not provide materials for benchmarking assessments. Schools that registered to use these assessments during the Periodic Assessment selection window for the 2009-10 school year will receive funding in late fall 2009 to help defray the cost of materials. If your school plans to use ECLAS-2 and/or E-PAL in addition to a benchmarking assessment, please see that program page for information about ordering materials.

Materials
Schools choosing TCRWP K-2 assessments will need to purchase a set of leveled picture books, one for each level A-J, for K-2 teachers. These are available at reduced costs from Scholastic or from Lee and Low. TCRWP’s Web site provides ordering information.
