Students from our various sites were involved in and plan to be involved in the following events for the 2008-2009 school year.
Students from 771 @ 329 participated in the Major League wheelchair software clinic on 9/19/08 at Shea Stadium.
We also hope to have a representation from 771 @ 329 to participate in the Adaptive Winter Games on 3/15/09 at Beach Channel High School.
Two students from 771 @ 236 participated in the Peter Aquilone Memorial Special Olympics floor hockey skills tournement at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York.
771 plans to get students involved in the following Special Olympics events:
- Special Olmpics in New York City regional basketball tournament in April at Fordham University
- Special Olympics Metro Games on one Saturday in late May at Riverbank Sate Park
- Special Olympics Summer Games from June 18-21, 2009 at Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY
771 @ 98, 225, 236, and 329 had a great time at the Aviator Sports Complex this year participating in ice skating, rock climbing, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, and team building activities.
