Transit Benefit Transit Spending Account (TSA) Card
The City offers eligible employees the opportunity to use pre-tax earnings to cover certain public transportation costs through the Transit Benefit Program.
The transit Transportation Spending Account is a P.I.N based debit card linked to a special transportation account. City’s contractor, JP Morgan Chase Bank, secures this account.
The employee has several options for deduction plans to meet his/her schedule and needs. TSA is funded each payday with your transportation deduction.
This is a voluntary benefit. It provides eligible and participating employees the flexibility and control to purchase NYC Transit Metro cards from Metro card vending machines based on the employee’s usage and need.
You may enroll yourself through the Payroll Portal (https://payrollportal.nycboe.net). Using your centrally active DOE outlook email id and password you can log in to the employee self service. Through this application, you can enroll, update and cancel your TSA membership.
