Voting Instructions for Selectors

How Do I Vote in Person?

1) Arrive at any voting district site having a run-off election on (TBD) or (TBD)between 7am and 9pm.

2) Provide valid photo identification to the KPMG Voting Monitor. Acceptable forms of ID include:

·         Driver’s License

·         Passport

·         Other government issued non-driver picture ID

The KPMG Voting Monitor will verify your identification and the election that you are qualified to vote in based on data provided by the NYC Department of Education (NYCDOE).

3) Sign the registration sheet. Your signature indicates that you presented identification and received your Voter ID and password.

4) Obtain unique Voter ID and password from the KPMG Voting Monitor. This information will allow you to access the electronic voting system. Note: For those individuals eligible to vote in more than one election (i.e. valid PA/PTA officer in more than one school), you will receive separate Voter IDs and passwords for each election.

5) Proceed to next available computer terminal designated for the voting process.

6) Follow the on-screen instructions to make your selection(s) and submit your vote. You will enter your Voter ID and password to access your ballot electronically. Your Voter ID and password will let the computer know the election for which you are eligible to vote. If you are voting in Community Education Council or the Citywide Council on Special Education, you will be prompted to select and vote for two candidates from the ballot that you will see on the screen. If you are voting in the Citywide Council on High Schools, you will be prompted to select and vote for one candidate from the ballot that you will see on the screen. Once you have made your selection, you will submit the ballot as instructed on the screen. You can only complete one ballot using the Voter ID and password. Once you have submitted your vote, your VoterID and password will no longer be valid. Every voting location is handicapped accessible. KPMG Voting Monitors will be on hand to assist voters with disabilities.
