CEC Member Responsibilities:

Overview of Core Responsibilities

Provide input to the Chancellor and the Panel on Educational policy on matters of concern to the district

Serve as liaison with School Leadership Teams and provide assistance where possible


Review the district’s educational programs and assess their impact on student achievement


Hold at least one meeting per month, open to the public, with the community superintendent to discuss current state of schools in the District


Hold at least one public meeting per month with the community superintendent during which the public may speak so that parents/community has a public forum to voice their concerns


Meet with Parent Association/Parent Teacher Association officers and principals at least quarterly and be provided/share factual information pertaining to matters of student achievement

Make school district report card publicly available
