Transferring Equipment Between Schools

Lost or Stolen Equipment 
    
 In the event the AT equipment is lost or stolen, the school should follow DOE procedures as oulined in the SOPM and file a police report.  The CFN/CSE will need to ensure that the AT equipment continues to be made available to the student according the student's IEP.

Equipment loaned from CAT 
 
 
 

     Equipment provided by CAT for a loaner/trial MUST stay in school during the loaner/trial period.  The purpose of a loaner/trial period is to determine need.  If however the AT equipment from CAT has been loaned to meet an IEP mandate, then the assistive technology should be utilized as outlined on the IEP.  For example, if the IEP indicates “for home use”, then it may be utilized at home.
