The New York City Department of Education will hold two public hearings on proposed revisions to the Citywide Standards of Discipline and Intervention Measures (The Discipline Code).
When: Monday, June 23 and Thursday, July 17
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Place: Tweed Courthouse (52 Chambers Street, Manhattan)
In order to be transparent about the proposed changes to the Discipline Code, all changes have been highlighted in blue. Additionally, deleted wording appears with strikethroughs.
Speaker sign-up will begin at 5:30 p.m. Each speaker will be given three minutes to speak. Written comments regarding these revisions will be accepted through Tuesday, July 15, 2008 by email to Lherrer@schools.nyc.gov.
