The Arts program at Mott Hall Science & Technology Academy Visual Arts program is grounded in the National and New York State Learning Standards for the Arts. It offers a rigorous approach to teaching the arts, motivating students to go beyond the walls of the classroom. Every art assignment that students are given, challenges them to visually express their thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences in response to a larger idea. The curriculum is based on the Five Strands of Arts Learning: Art Making, Literacy in the Visual Arts, Making Connections, Community and Cultural Resources, and Careers and Lifelong Learning
