Mission Statement
The mission of I.S. 292 is to maximize every student's potential and provide the young adults that attend our school with the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in a technologically complex society.

In pursuing this mission, Margaret Douglas Intermediate School will provide instructional programs aligned with the New York State and City Standards. Our programs will help to prepare students for higher education, to develop a sense of responsibility, and to build their self-esteem. to accomplish this mission the school will provide a strong academic and a safe environment for all students and staff. we will also provide the students and staff the tools necessary to accomplish our goals.

Through our use of intensive and consistent staff development, our academic instruction shall continue to improve dramatically. This will result in an increase in standardized test scores and the development of I.S. 292 into a top rated Intermediate School.
