PS 199 believes that parents are the most important partners in a child’s education. Working with the PTA, School Leadership Team, and the Parent Coordinator, PS 199 offers many opportunities for parents to be involved in their child’s academic life. For example, parents participate in publishing celebrations; hands-on writing, reading and science workshops; and Read Aloud Day. Our PTA and staff also offers a variety of parenting workshops throughout the year.
We have partnerships with the Brooklyn Arts Council, the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, NYC School Volunteers, Midwood Development, COJO, and the 70th Police Precinct.
