Our vision at David A. Boody IS 228 for Magnet Studies is to offer a collaborative, challenging, learning environment that encourages all students to achieve academically, personally and to be educated, integrated, confident and responsible participants in our society.
Our mission is:
• to offer a standards-driven curriculum towards academic excellence in literacy and technology;
• to enable our faculty to have the staff development necessary to achieve our goals;
• to foster a partnership with parents and guardians, so they may be actively involved in the education of their children;
• to provide a diverse respectful environment where students of all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds are welcomed;
• to enable all students to develop an awareness of their responsibilities to themselves, their family, school community, country and the world;
• to enable all students to make an easy transition from elementary to middle school, and middle school to high school.
