Extracurricular Activities

A wide range of extracurricular activities is offered to our students. These include Academic Interventions in Extended Day programs, a Council for Unity, Student Council and in-school Service Society. Competitions include Lincoln-Douglas Debates, Spelling Bee, Storytelling, Ezra Jack Keats Book Writing and multicultural poetry contests.

We also have the NIA (Neighborhood Improvement Association) After-School Program where students participate in a number of activities such as homework help, community service, sports and recreation, arts and crafts and field trips!

The CHAMPS (Cooperative Healthy Active Motivated Positive Students) Program promotes health-related fitness and sports skills that can be maintained long after school days are over. Some of the sports that we have at Cavallaro are Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer and Cheerleading.
