Welcome to PS 29’s website!
PS 29 is a true community school. We have approximately 600 students in grades Pre K-5. We are very proud of the rigorous academic program that we provide for all our students. At PS 29 we instill the love of learning so that all students will become lifelong learners. We are extremely proud of the quality of education that the children receive. We are also committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment.
PS 29 has a long commitment of educating the whole child. High academic standards are set to the teaching of all curriculum areas. The content areas are augmented by exciting educational experiences in science, the arts, technology and character education.
We have a devoted and enthusiastic staff along with a supportive and hard working PTA. The PTA supports the school in many ways including the purchase of books and assembly programs. Our student government leads the way in student activities that build on our solid character education program. Together all constituencies work tirelessly to provide an educational environment that is caring, nurturing and motivating for all students.
We look forward on embarking with the entire PS 29 community in our mission in continuing to make our school community a shining star in the NYC school system.
