The Board of Education of the City of New York as well as Flushing High School are committed to ensuing that our school is a place where students learn and staff teaches in a safe and secure environment. In order to achieve this goal, students must be taught to assume responsibility for their behavior. They must understand that there are standards of behavior which are outlined in the Citywide Standards of Conduct and Uniform Disciplinary Measures (The Discipline Code). It provides comprehensive guidelines for determining unacceptable behaviors and provides for range of disciplinary measures. The regulations set forth below are in addition to that document.
As the new year begins, it is important that we all remember that a safe orderly school is important if learning is to take place.
