Teacher: Mrs. Kammerer

Class: 2-200

About Me:
Mrs. Kammerer graduated from Adelphi University. She majored in Elementary Education. She enjoys spending time with her children. She also loves gardening and reading.

Mission For The Class:
The mission is to provide all students with the educational opportunities to learn to the best of their abilities. I utilize a child centered, hands-on, integrated approach to learning in order to ensure that our students will become productive, informed, literate, and responsible citizens, as well as life long learners.

Homework:
Each night the students have reading, spelling, math and sometimes an additional assignment.
Read a dot book for 25 minutes and complete your reading log.

Please check your child’s homework folder daily for important notices.

Birthday Policy:
If your child is having a birthday please send us in a note letting us know when you’re going to be sending treats or goodies in.

Tests:
Spelling tests are given every Friday. A math test is given after each unit.

Star Student:
Each month, we let the students vote for one boy and one girl for star student. Students need to wear their white P.S. 46 t-shirt to the assembly.

Wish List:
We could always use books for our classroom library. We also run out of pencils quite often.

Booklist:
Scholastic has great deals on books. Each month we will send home order forms. Please complete the order form and send a check payable to Scholastic if you would like to order something.

Recommended Reading:
It’s very important that your child reads a book at his or her independent reading level each night for at least 20 minutes.

Your child should have a Public Library card.  Please label all supplies with your child’s name.  Looking forward to a happy and successful school year!  Thank you for your cooperation.
