Public School 51, Early Childhood Center, strives to create the best opportunity for all students to learn in a creative and nurturing environment. Our entire school community endeavors to provide excellence in education by developing a community of lifelong learners. In an atmosphere rich with cultural diversity, we provide a program that sets the highest standards for all students while celebrating individuality and encouraging creativity.
Our community partnerships include the Richmond Hill Block Association and our Police and Fire Departments. Students from Richmond Hill High School's Arista Society visit our school to read to the students and celebrate Halloween with them. The school community continues to support various worthy causes through Penny Harvest donations, as well as donations to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Research Hospital and the food pantries at Holy Child Jesus and St. Benedict Joseph Labre Churches and The River Fund, and The Forest Park Trust, Inc.
