Our Mission:
Here at P.S. 50, our mission is to provide an environment that cultivates all of our students' strengths by nurturing their verbal, mathematical, scientific, artistic, social, kinesthetic abilities. It is our goal to prepare our children to become lifelong learners as thoughtful, intelligent, and creative citizens of our community. We will do this by providing our staff with professional development that will allow our students to have standards based instruction to prepare them for college readiness.

Respect For All (RFA) Week
For the 2011-2012 school year, the NYC Department of Education has designated February 13-17, 2012 as RFA Week in all NYC public schools. During this week, PS 50Q will have opportunities to highlight and build upon ongoing diversity programs and curriculum-based instruction. PS 50Q will also have opportunities to embark upon new initiatives that promote respect for diversity and engage students in meaningful lessons and other activities that focus on preventing bias-based harassment, intimidation and bullying.
