I would like to thank Ms. Mikel from PS 133 in Manhattan for her never-ending support, time, and patience with my son David. Last year, she served as his kindergarten special education teacher. It was difficult for me because I did not understand his disability. But I will tell you that despite some difficult days, this woman showed me how to address and channel in on his disabilities. Even though he his attending a new school, this teacher will always have a special place in our hearts. To this day, David still talks about how Ms. Mikel treated him with so much love and how he misses her. Some people are not meant to teach but you are truly meant to teach children.
