An exciting work of public art, “The New York City Waterfalls,” by internationally acclaimed artist Olafur Eliasson, will be installed on the Brooklyn and Manhattan waterfronts in early July. The exhibit is an excellent way to introduce students to contemporary art, New York’s history, and its natural environment. The Public Art Fund, in collaboration with city agencies and environmental organizations, is developing an activity pamphlet for summer camps and families as well as a curriculum booklet. These resources are available at the New York City Waterfalls Web Site. For more information, please email the Public Art Fund at info@publicartfund.org.
